Child, Adolescent & Adult Counseling:
I offer individual psychotherapy to children, teens and adults in a warm, interactive setting. Sessions are 50 minutes in length. If you are a parent seeking therapy for your child/teen, depending on your child’s current needs I may meet with your child individually, individually with parent(s), or with both child and parents together. Sessions with adolescents and parents occur only by choice of the client and agreement of the therapist. Therapy for adolescents often focuses on identity development, understanding their meaning or purpose in life, creating healthy relationships, learning how to effectively manage stress, increasing confidence and self-esteem.
Parent Support:
My individual psychotherapeutic work with children also includes a collaborative relationship with their parents. Parent coaching and therapy may further that collaboration by offering parents evidence-based strategies for effective communication, behavior management, and skill building beyond the therapy setting
Online Therapy:
For some clients scheduling an in-person office visit may increase the stress or anxiety which they are already experiencing. In these cases the feasability of teletherapy sessions will be considered on an individual basis.
